So, Juan and I decided we weren't crazy about our blog name (thedailyhernandez), so we've set up a new blog that I'll start posting to today. The new address is:
simplyhernandez.blogspot.com
I'll move the old posts over there soon, too, so they will all be in one place!
See you there!

Olivia weighs in at 6 lbs 13 oz!
We had our 2 week appointment at the pediatrician today - the first outing where Olivia rode in th back seat by herself and the first time I drove her anywhere. Everything went great...Juan was able to meet us there and we got there without any problems! She was great in the carseat, too.
The appointment went well. Dr. Borba said she's doing all the things she's supposed to be doing, and not doing things she's not supposed to be doing! And...she weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, which is back up to her birth weight plus 5 ounces!
I grabbed a quick lunch on the way home, and we barely made it home before she started crying like she was hungry. I got her in, got her fed, and got her to sleep...now I'm going to get some sleep myself!

We went for a walk today!
My mom and I took Olivia on a walk today up to the Conference Center and saw some friends from Mount Hermon. It was really fun to see everyone - and just standing in front of the Post Office, we saw about 20 people!
When we got home, we gave Olivia her first bath. She didn't really appreciate it, but I bet she feels good to be so clean! She got to use her frog towel that Juan bought her for Christmas, which is so appropriate since I have been calling her "my little froggy" (since she curls her legs up like a frog, which I'm sure is how she is used to being in utero).

Last Pregnant Photo
We took this photo just before heading to church on Sunday, February 8...and we had no idea that I would go into labor that day! For whatever reason, I asked Juan to take my picture before we left, and I'm so glad I did. This documents me at the very end of my pregnancy. About 36 hours later, Olivia came into the world!
